Launched in 2008, Kimberlina Whettam & Associates (KW&A) provides development consulting and is a leader in municipal permit expediting for land use projects. Focusing on project approvals and entitlements, project evaluation, and permit processing, KW&A is a key partner and trusted advisor on a wide range of both commercial and residential development projects including: high-rise structures, hotels, restaurants, mixed-use and transit-oriented development projects, multi- and single-family home development projects, sports facilities, and large residential estates.

A boutique development consulting firm with 24 years of experience, KW&A’s six-member team in Downtown Los Angeles keeps a strong presence at City buildings on a daily basis, and has the manpower and resources to meet tight deadlines and to provide ongoing project support.

KW&A manages projects from start to finish: beginning at the design phase, through entitlements, plan check with local planning departments, clearances from local agencies, permit issuances and inspections, and through the final issuance of the certificate of occupancy allowing the project to open its doors for its residents, employees, or customers.

With local government approval processes becoming more complex, it is more important than ever to work with KW&A to facilitate timely approvals to meet hard project deadlines. KW&A leverages its strong background in City government to bring the needed resources to get projects approved, and approved quickly.

KW&A knows it takes commitment, organization, knowledge, and a strategic approach to get the right answers. When the approval process is inconsistent and unclear, KW&A works closely with senior City staff to monitor code interpretations to provide our clients with the most accurate, up-to-date information for their development projects.

KW&A is delighted to announce that as of November 2016 we have been certified as a Small Local Business (SLB), Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) by the City of Los Angeles.
